26th Annual Media Ecology Association Convention

• Theme: "From Natural Selection to Artificial Intelligence: Balancing Opportunities, Ethics, and Challenges"

 

Join scholars, practitioners, and students in exploring the balance between opportunities, ethics, and challenges in AI media at the 26th Annual Media Ecology Association Convention.

 

Guidelines

• Submit your proposals in English by November lst, 2024, to MEA2025@up.edu.mx. A maximum of two submissions per author will be accepted

 

For Paper and Panel Proposals:  

• lnclude title(s), abstract(s) (max. 250 words), and contact information for each participant
• Outline how your paper or panel aligns with the convention's theme
• For award consideration, complete manuscripts must be sent to the convention planners before the event

 

For Manuscript Submission
(Top Paper or Top Student Paper Award): 

• Manuscripts should be between 4,000-6,000words (15 to 25 double-spaced pages). 
• lnclude a cover page with institutional affiliation and contact information

   

• lnclude an abstract (max. 150 words)

 

Award Contention Deadlines:   

• Abstract Submission: November l, 2024
• Full Paper Submission: January l, 2025

 

Registration:

 

Early registration opens in June 2024
on our website. Price are as follows:

• Regular member: $150
• Student member: $70
• Non-member: $260
• Non-member student: $90

 

Early registration prices are good until January 1st, 2025. After that, regular member registration is $170 and student member registration is $80.
